Radu. Thanks for scotching the rumour. I'm happy with my Revells in this instance and still hope they might kit a G-2 or -4, although I'd rather see a Ju 88 C. Am not expecting anything new in 1/32 from Tamiya, though still dream of them doing 1/48 "Century Series over Japan" to supersede the ancient Revellogram kits.
In comparison with the Zvezda kit, it is 0.6mm too high. Comparing the Zvezda and Tamiya fuselage results in a perfect match. I am sure that all three kits will result in very nice models of the Bf 109 G-6. The Tamiya kit looks to be the easiest build. Eduard has some nice details and Zvezda needs a bit of work.

Kit review: 1/48 Tamiya Messerschmitt Bf-109 G6, Part 1 of 2 Kit Review: 1/48 Tamiya 61117, Messerschmitt Bf-106 G6, Part 2 of 2 Once I saw that Tamiya was going to be releasing a new 1/48 scale kit of the Bf-109, I knew that when it arrived at the nearest Hobby Store I had to purchase it.
The air pump for this system needed a secondary bulge on the right cowling panel just forward of the main bulge. To simplify aircraft production, Erla decided to only make the G-5 cowl panel and to also use them on their G-6's. The aircraft you have chosen has this bulge, but it seems that the Tamiya kit only provides the standard G-6 cowl panels.

Username: Ralph Haus First name: Ralph Category: Advanced Manufacturer: Tamiya (kit 25204) Model: Bf 109 G-6 Scale: 1/48 I had built this same model with Tamiya's non-kubelwagen kit, number 61117, having entered it in the GB-55 competition. A build I really enjoyed, especially having the open engine option.
