The increasingly popular benchmark from 0-200 km/h is smashed in 7.5 seconds making this more than a decade-old Superbike as fast as a McLaren 720s, though it would probably be pipped to the quarter mile by the McLaren by a few tenths with the 08-11 Honda CBR1000RR managing 10.29 seconds and with a terminal speed of 146 mph.

The top speed with stock gearing at 13,000 RPM for '08 and up (if you can reach it) is 184.6 MPH. The limit you see displayed is not any kink of governor etc. It's just the max speed it's programmed to display, you can accelerate past that IF the bike is capable. So 1k RR '08 and up goes 185 mph.
For the most part, yes, but 520's are usually easier to find and cheaper. These 600's aren't anywhere close to the power to stretch one. A lot of the 520's out there are rated for 1000cc and up.

In 2003 Honda launched the CBR600RR after testing the water with the CBR600F Sport. The RR was part breath of fresh air and part poke in the eye with a sharp stick. It had an air of HRC quality about it. The RR is a machine designed to win races and itβs incredibly fast on the road or track.
2. with duck and racing-like position, it could reach 155 km/h (96,3 mph). 3. i could do a turn with speed between 108-110 km/h (67-68 mph), but make sure the road is empty and safe enough to make that fast turn. ps: with a mild bumpy road, it's a little bit wobble when turning in high speed. If there isn't then your stator is bad. If the stator tests good then check the output from your rectifier by checking terminal voltage at the battery while running. Should be around 13 at idle and around 14.5 at 5000 rpm. Replacing a battery without checking the charging system is a bad plan. Easiest and cheapest route is to change your gearing, put a slip-on, race filter, PCIII/V or equivalent and have it dynoed. Might get a little over 5 HP increase. 2008 CBR 600RR #1 (Graffiti) street. 2008 CBR 600RR #2 track. CMRA #599.
